Interactive Whiteboard Lessons

Electronic whiteboards have come a long way since the technology in the 90s. The latest generation of interactive whiteboards (sometimes called ‘smart boards’) takes us into a whole new world of interactive lessons that is being accepted in school classrooms around Australia and the world. The’re also very useful in business meeting rooms and university lectures.

It’s hard to explain the power of these new interactive whiteboards, so we’ve included a few videos to show them in action. Check them out down the right hand side.

We’ve also compiled a list of Interactive Whiteboard Teaching Resources.

Interactive Whiteboard Technology

The system consists of a touch sensitive digital whiteboard, like a very large version of an iPod or smart phone. The whiteboard displays your computers screen via an overhead projector. This enables you to interact with your computer via the whiteboard. Drag and drop items, use menus and run applications such as PowerPoint slides or even videos. Additional software enables you to write on the whiteboard with electronic pens or even record your session and send it to colleagues who didn’t make it.
