the initial problem/need

As part of the federal governments ‘Building the Education Revolution’ program, Adelaide’s Prospect North Primary School built a new Multifunction facility to cater for events, assemblies, meetings, gymnasium and other school and private activities. The building was to be fitted out with the latest technology available to ensure the school had the best facilities available. This included the need for hearing augmentation systems in order to comply with new building codes. The school and builder needed a contractor who could advise on the design aspects whilst also ultimately supply & installing the necessary equipment and infrastructure. A-COM Solutions Pty Ltd was chosen due to their track record of providing high quality pro audio systems. Furthermore, technical staff on the team have accreditation and training to provide hearing augmentation systems such as hearing loops.

Due to the multi-purpose use of the facility, a system needed to be designed to provide pro-audio for a wide variety of events differing in type, needs, and audience size

The solution was based primarily on Australian Monitor equipment including;

how the solution was implemented

The system was designed in conjunction with the specifications provided by the project Consultants. A-COM Solutions technical staff installed the equipment during the construction phase ensuring that the overall outcomes were achieved. All equipment was fully labelled and tested during the commissioning phase. The system was handed over to the school during a comprehensive training session which covered power-up, set-up and operational procedures, followed by power-down procedures and regular maintenance requirements. A detailed and customised operating handbook was delivered as part of the project.
