CASE STUDY – Digital Signage – TAFE SA

the initial problem/need

TAFE SA Gilles Plains Campus wanted to communicate news, program information, room locations and other such general information to students within the School of Veterinary and Applied Science. TAFE SA utilised the services of A-COM Solutions to install a large commercial grade monitor adjacent to the main entry and reception area of the school.

the challenges

Where to place the screen was the major challenge of the project. After thorough investigation, the only place suitable for the installation was on the reception bulkhead which was curved and non-structural. With plenty of inginuity and lateral thinking the installation technician was able to securely fix the monitor wall bracket to a structural member within the bulkhead utilised for the operable wall of the reception area. High tensile fixings were used into custom tapped holes within the structural member therefore ensuring absolute safety of the installation.

The installation took place after normal school hours to ensure student safety during the installaton process.
