CASE STUDY – CCTV Camera Surveillance – Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club
the initial problem/need
The Gawler & Barrossa Jockey Club commenced development of their Evanston site in 2010. The development included a brand new function centre, stewards building, gatehouse, sheds, & car parking and re-building of some existing covered areas. The site is expansive and needed a commercial grade CCTV surveillance system to protect it. The system included dome and full body cameras, Digital Video Recorder and monitors.

Some of the security concerns held by management included security of alcohol stocks and betting monies from in-house TAB services. A high end CCTV system was needed to protect the entire site.
the challenges
- Install an integrated CCTV system across new and existing buildings
- Spot Monitoring required in several locations around the property
- Excellent coverage required both inside and out of buildings, both day and night

the solution
- The DVR chosen to provide all the necessary requirements was the Tibet Magic Radar System, a Windows based DVR bacause of its ease of use and full list of features.
- 32 day/night vandal proof dome cameras
- 1 day/night vandal proof full body camera in weatherproof housing
- 32 Channel centralised power supply
how the solution was implemented
The installation process spanned several months of the construction and different stages of the building process. From first fixing cabling, to installing devices and hardware, to programming and commissioning. A-COM Solutions technicians were able to provide real solutions to the clients, builders, & consultants during various stages of the project, and as new requirements were developed.
