CASE STUDY – Audio Visual Systems – Gleeson College

the initial problem/need

Golden Grove High School and Gleeson Campus have two main lecture theatres which are equipped with state of the art audio visual technology. Through constant use, the LCD projected images had dulled over time to the point where lamp replacement or projector upgrade was inevitable. School management asked A-COM Solutions for advice on the existing unit’s servicability, and whether they would be better off upgrading.
the challenges
The challenge for this this installation were the ceiling height, tiered (stepped) seating arrangements, and lack of access to the ceiling void.
the solution

Due to the age of the existing projector, the recommendation was to upgrade the projectors. This upgrade achieved several important outcomes for the school including improved brightness, larger image size, and 16:9 screen resolution.
The solution consisted of;
- NEC NP-PA550 LCD WXGA 16:9 5500 ANSI Lumen Projector
- Universal mounting post/bracket
- Ceiling access panel
how the solution was implemented
The installation took place after normal school hours to ensure student safety during the installaton process.
